ABSTRACT

Observation:

Vitiligo is a common acquired pigmentary skin disorder related to the selective loss of melanocytes. Aetiology of vitiligo is uncertain but seems to be dependent on the interaction of genetic, immunological and neurological factors. Its pathogenesis is still not understood. Chloramphenicol is one of the substances causing chemical leukoderma. We report an unusual case of topical chloramphenicol induced periocular vitiligo because of its rarity.
